druh rybárskej siete. Podymač bol známy najmä v Liptove a na Orave. Princíp použitia bol zhodný s čereňom. Rozdiel bol v konštrukcii drevenej časti – zatiaľ čo čereň mal oblúky nad sieťou, podymač mal rebrá, na ktoré bola sieť natiahnutá. Kostra oválneho alebo hranatého tvaru bola pripnutá na žŕdku, ktorú rybár držal v rukách. Podymačom sa dobre lovilo v rozvodnenej rieke, keď ryby išli k brehu. Z podobnosti techník lovu s čereňom, podymačom a korcom sa vyskytujú prípady ich terminologickej zámeny.
