uvarené cesto v tvare menších guliek, ktoré sa podávali ako sýte samostatné jedlo. K najznámejším patria revúcke a gemerské guľky pripravované zo zemiakového cesta s údeným mäsom, poliate masťou alebo praženou slaninou a cibuľou. Podobné, ale bez mäsa, boli spišské džatky. V Honte sa pripravovalo jedlo v tvare guliek z kukuričnej múky, podávané s praženou cibuľkou a makom s cukrom, prípadne so škvarkami. Prostredníctvom rakúskej a česko–moravskej kuchyne k nám prenikli knedle plnené ovocím, z ktorých najväčšiu obľubu získali slivkové gule podávané s tvarohom, prípadne makom a cukrom, poliate maslom.
